Theres 3 times in my life where Wayne says hes the best rapper alive and i believe him. I dont even believe in best rappers. Alive or dead. Thats what his philosophy is. I think dumb things like Wayne makes the rest of rap redundant. When Wayne says “i cant feel my face” it means 100 things. Everybody went to see a band because they are always on lots of drugs. They have cheap guitars and cheap mics and a cheap drum machine but good drugs. They transcend drugs. I made a rule to not do drugs alone. That Wayne song that samples “only once the drugs are done that i feel like dying.” That Verve song that goes “now the drugs dont work; they just make you worse.” When i call him Wayne i feel like hes my friend. Some of my favorite Wayne shit is the chorus on “Duffle Bag Boy.” Makes me want to die. For a while i was afraid Wayne was gonna die. I got that Tumblr template that makes it look like Facebook.
